Toast in Louisville KY

The 1st time was awesome the waitress was spot on with service and the lemons souffle pancakes just the way to start Sunday morning, wel let's say the best service I have had in some years. And I know service because I have worked in 4 star French and Italian along with 5 star German restaurants.

Well here goes my second adventure to toast? ..............................................
And the luck of the draw is Trent for my waiter. I order the steak and eggs and the steak can't be cooked charred rare the restaurant only has a flat top grill.
I will say the tomato chutney was very nice, the only type of preserves was the smucker's nothing special, and the fruit was basic cantilope, honey dew and some red grapes where is the strawberries?
The meat was very small and unseasoned
Yet Britney appeared at my table with fresh cracked pepper.
As I neared the end of my meal I realized that I wanted something additional .....................
So I looked around for my waiter Trent for a minute or two seemed like he was way too busy talking to the other wait staff behind the coffee counter to notice me or better yet anyone.
So the next waitress that came by was Allison she seemed attentive and I placed a order with her for
The ever famous lemons souffle pancakes, they came I ate I was happy. And of course Britney delivered again.
Trent informed me that he had to go the restroom as to why he didn't deliver the meal. Way too much info.
The first meal was very little better than a Waffle house restaurant.
But the pancakes are in a class by their self.

Rouls Deli in Baton Rouge LA

Well gang it is Saturday say around 2:00 and it's time for lunch
I guess I should be looking for a Poor Boy but for some reason,
I felt like I should stick to the game plan and check out the burgers.
so it was between Rouls Deli or Brewbacher's Grill.
you guested it the closest one won out.
I ordered the Shrimp Burger cute twist meat was fresh and the fries
nice with the seasoned salt.
Nothing special stick with Wendy's and it would have had more taste.
And to know the truth I was pretty hungry
on a 1 to 10 scale I'll give it a score of 6 for nice guy behind the counter
somewhat reasonable price $8.50 with a drink, yet the place was pretty dirty.

Great Guacamole B. U. T. !

This has to be some of the best Guacamole that I have enjoyed in a long time, and the chips are spot on in texture, amount the of salt and freshness.
But I have got to say the sangria is pretty sad in flavor and presentation.
The Jerk Chicken Taco with Mango was very nice, and the fish taco was very sad as well and bland take a lesson from Baha Fresh on this one guys.
As far as the sides go, well I thought the sides should have been slid off the side of the table and left on the floor.
Guys work on it or don't offer them.
When I went to pay for the meal I laid a $100.00 with the bill. Someone I guess a manager or owner ran yes ran by, and grabbed the money and said he would get the change.
One I had never met this person before in my life or better yet they had never approached our table during the meal.
Who was this person and how did I even know if they worked there? Bad Business move!
On a scale of 1 to 5 stars I'll give it a 2.
As far as the price it should have been around $35.00 at the most.
lets see if I had taken the same money $48.00 plus a $8.00 Tip that equals $56.00 and went to Baha Fresh I could have had a meal for 4 and a six pack of great beer and possibly hired a small Mariachi Band to sing for our party.

Puckett's Grocery Downtown Nashville, TN

This was the first time I visited the restaurant for a Sunday Sunday Brunch and this will be my last time here. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars
I will give it a - NO - what am I saying it doesn't even deserve a star. Stars are what you get when you do something right, even 1 star deserves doing something right not halfway or close.
Very poor selection of choices, and cold pancakes, the one thing I was hoping for was great coffee NOT yet is was warm brown water, the waiter was very poorly trained, I trained at all.
1 glass of milk my friend had was $3.25 all I had to do was walk to the cooler and buy a half of gallon in their reach in cooler for $3.49 - 24¢ more and this would have given me 3 more glasses what a concept.
My quote is when I have a bad experience is to say.
" I choose not to spend my money there"
I travel a lot and have the opportunity to visit any restaurant on any level 2 to three times a week, Nice concept but poorly executed. I will most definitely visit a Cracker Barrel or a Waffle house when looking for hot breakfast with consistent food and they thank you when you leave.
Puckett's is another fern Bar atmosphere.
Again It is so sad that Nashville has allowed this type of behavior in a so-called restaurant to remain.

I guess the owners banked on making it on the liquor business and over charging, and more than likely they will, but the real truth is if it was to make it on the food business I would give them 3 to 4 week tops unless they are have Very Deep pockets.
In New Orleans it would last 2 weeks tops, then gone.

Never again will I spend my hard earned money there.
